Post Medical's core business is the research, development and production of original products relating to the safe handling and disposal of infectious medical waste (needles, syringes and other sharps). Post Medical offers a wide range of products for use in institutional and non-institutional home health and hospice environments. All Post Medical systems are engineered with the goal of combining ease-of-use with maximum accident protection resulting 100% customer satisfaction and safety.

Post Medical was founded in 1982 by William Harold Thead, Jr., then a hospital orderly who saw a growing need for a safe, consistent and creative approach to medical waste disposal. Mr. Thead remained CEO of Post Medical and continued to design and manufacture a variety of medical products until his death in 2007. Maintaining his high standards for safe handling and disposal of infectious medical waste continues to be the company's primary goal.
